I have a BA in Journalism and enjoy writing articles for a range of newspapers and other publications, primarily on arts/theatre, and issues around disability and mental health activism. I have written for the Guardian, Stylist, and many other publications. Here is a small selection of some of my previous journalism work.

In 2023, the Guardian gave me my own column to write about the link between chronic pain, chronic illness, and medical misogyny. This column ran for a few months, and I massively enjoyed writing it, and seeing the response from readers with whom these columns struck a chord.

"From hugging Lady Gaga to standing in a dumpster: playwright Naomi Westerman on living with chronic pain" - The Guardian, 13 Jun 2023

"The gender pain gap isn’t just a problem for adult women, it started for me before I was even in my teens" - The Guardian, 5 Jul 2023

"‘My body failed me’: playwright Naomi Westerman on navigating her life, career and chronic pain conditions" - The Guardian, 24 August 2023
